to Measure
When it comes to creating exceptional spaces, there is no one-size-fits-all. We take the time to understand our clients, their aspirations, and the way they want to live or work, developing a considered approach that responds to their needs while bringing their vision to life.
From distinctive luxury homes and bespoke developments to high-quality commercial and community spaces, everything we do is shaped around you. Through close collaboration across our architecture, design, construction, development, and interior design teams, we create cohesive spaces where every detail is considered from concept through to completion.
for the Future
We place a great deal of importance on preserving the Earth’s resources, and we know you do too. Sustainability is at the heart of our approach, with every architectural design, development, and construction project carefully considered for its environmental impact, long-term performance, and durability. Where appropriate, we incorporate solutions such as solar energy, green roofs, rainwater harvesting, sustainable materials, and biodiversity-focused landscaping.
By futureproofing our projects and embracing more sustainable ways of designing, building, and developing, we aim to create places that support growth and positivity while reducing their impact on the environment. It is a more considered and caring approach to creation, focused on enhancing biodiversity, protecting natural resources, and building a better future that lasts.

in the Midlands
MADE Architecture started life as a partnership in 2003, set up by Naveed Ahmed to provide a more personalised experience to clients. The business was born in the heart of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, before later moving to Balsall Common and Hampton-in-Arden – finally finding roots at our bright, modern studio in Solihull.
In the early days, MADE was fortunate enough to lead several exciting architectural design projects across the country, growing from two initial partners to a five-strong team in just a few short months, and then to a team of 10 within the first two years. After merging with another practice to form a team of 18, the Credit Crunch hit in 2008. The support of loyal commercial clients carried the business through to 2010, when MADE Architecture was established as a limited company.
Today, MADE has evolved beyond its architectural roots. In 2026, MADE Group was established as a multidisciplinary company, bringing together architecture, construction, property development, interior design, and design & build services under one roof. Building on over two decades of experience, our talented team continues the MADE legacy with a passionate, versatile, and creative approach, delivering projects from concept to completion across the West Midlands and internationally.

- PROFILE
Naveed is the founding director and mentor of the MADE team. Naveed loves teaching architectural design and feels that the best way to instil passion and creativity in any design is by drawing freehand. It is this hand-mind-eye coordination and the free flow of cumulative ideas that are then deciphered and synthesised to arrive at that unique design concept.
Under Naveed’s leadership, MADE has grown into an award-winning organisation, recognised as Architects Practice of the Year at the National Property Awards 2025, in recognition of the practice’s commitment to sustainability, innovation and design excellence, reinforcing MADE’s reputation for delivering exceptional architecture and lasting value for clients and communities.
Naveed has been in private practice for over 20 years, setting up his first office in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham with a like-minded and creative bunch of people. He studied BA with Honours at the Birmingham School of Architecture and thereafter continued his studies at the same school for the Post Graduate Diploma and Professional Examinations in Architecture. He has also been an external examiner at the Birmingham School of Architecture for the Professional Examinations. Through private practice and other business and property development endeavours, he is not only well-versed in the quality of architecture and architectural design but also has a commercial eye for projects.
He has helped many budding and seasoned developers, always guiding them to achieve more. Naveed has been instrumental with many key regeneration projects and in most cases triggered a vast drive for redevelopment in the area. Naveed is strongly committed to delivering the very best for every client, no matter how small or large the project might be. Oscar joined MADE as Senior Architect in 2023 and, with his exemplary work ethics and dedication, has progressed into the role of Associate Architect. He now leads the team alongside the Practice Director to deliver exciting projects.
Having some Portuguese explorer’s genes, Oscar has experienced different parts of the world throughout his upbringing, having lived and studied in Portugal, Mozambique, Brazil and Spain and he brings that “citizen of the world” attitude into the day-to-day in the studio and in architecture.
Oscar has discovered his vocation was Architecture from an early age, as he grew up on and around building sites. At first playing around and later helping his parents building company on site. This has helped him develop a good understanding of spaces, the use of different building materials, construction methods and how a project develops from lines on paper, to 3D CAD models to being built. Being highly technically minded and having an inquisitive mind, Oscar takes full advantage of the latest Architectural Design Software and Visualisation tools to give the customers the most approximate to reality views of their projects.
Being a chartered architect with RIBA and ARB, and having previously practised in both Portugal and Spain, Oscar brings a wealth of experience to MADE, especially in the residential sector, where he thrives to deliver homes focused on the people, after all “Architecture starts at home”.
For Oscar, Architecture is a multi-faceted highly complex discipline, and if it were a machine, the Architect would be the central cog, connecting all the other moving parts to form a harmonious relationship and achieve the most balanced outcome for the customer/final user. On a personal level, Oscar enjoys playing guitar, riding motorcycles, tasty meals and a good movie/series.

Shiv is a RIBA Part II Architectural Assistant with just over three years of experience in the architectural industry. Having completed his BA (Hons) at Birmingham City University and his Master of Architecture (MArch) at the Manchester School of Architecture, his work explores the relationships between people, place, culture and the built environment.
His approach to architecture is rooted in sociological research and architectural history, with a particular interest in how people shape, experience and are shaped by the spaces they inhabit. His postgraduate research explored the personal narratives of South Asian migrants in Birmingham, examining the relationship between housing legislation, residential patterns and lived experience throughout the 1900s. This research-led approach informs his interest in creating socially inclusive, culturally responsive and environmentally conscious architectural solutions. His creative work has also been exhibited at a gallery in Manchester.
Beyond architecture, Shiv enjoys art, painting, drawing, sketching, writing and making. These creative pursuits inform his way of thinking and his approach to exploring ideas, materials and the human experience of space.
Shiv believes that no two people experience a place in quite the same way. Every space holds different meanings, memories and possibilities for those who inhabit it. For him, architecture is an opportunity to recognise these differences, understand the stories that shape our environments, and create places that respond meaningfully to the people and communities they serve.
